Unclogging pores and unstick dead skin cells naturally with our duo-exfoliation scrub!
Deeply cleansing enzymes gently break up congestion on the skin while jojoba wax beads (a plant-based, eco-friendly alternative to microbeads), pumice, and cranberry seeds slough off dead skin cells.
When your skin feels flaky, congested, or rough, this facial scrub works hard to clarify and soften skin without being harsh.
If you’ve loved using AHAs, like pumpkin or pineapple fruit enzymes, in the past, you’re going to be head over heels for PHAs because of the extra hit of hydration they deliver.
Just like AHAs, PHA enzymes improve skin tone and texture by dissolving dead cells that leave our skin feeling rough and dull. But unlike AHAs and BHAs (exfoliating ingredients that often steal the skincare spotlight), PHAs don’t stop at sloughing off dead skin cells and impurities!
PHAs also act as a hydrator by attracting water to the skin! Exfoliating and hydrating, PHAs are next-level AHAs that are kinder to sensitive skin types without compromising efficiency.
How it works
This gentle scrub exfoliates on multiple levels.
- The first way this scrub exfoliates is with a progression of 3 different physically abrasive/buffing exfoliants. Pumice (powdered volcanic rock), cranberry seeds, and round, soft jojoba (plant wax) beads remove dead skin cells by buffing them away. Jojoba beads are famous for being the most gentle physical exfoliating ingredient around. Why? Because their round shape rolls over the skin preventing damage, irritation, or tiny tears that bacteria can settle into!
- The second level of exfoliation is the enzyme exfoliation that happens thanks to glow-boosting PHA gluconolactone. This naturally-derived, vegan-friendly, and ECOCERT-approved enzyme is a free-radical scavenger (which makes it helpful for protecting the skin from the effects of UV exposure), hydrator and exfoliator.
If your skin isn’t completely balanced, or you have chronically congested pores, those skin cells shed inside your pores don’t often get flushed out properly! PHAs are one way to remedy the situation!
(QUICK TIP: Keeping your skin well hydrated is another way to tackle congestion! Check out our Hydra Healing Gel to lubricate the inside of your pores so they can organically flush out debris and dead skin cells!).
A scrub that's more than just exfoliation:
When our skin is well hydrated, pores are lubricated, which helps our skin purge impurities unhindered. This scrub is packed with nature's beloved hydrating botanical, aloe vera (it’s the first ingredient!).
Aloe vera naturally increases hydration levels to help combat congestion and unclog pores, reducing the need for constant exfoliation.
We’ve also included jojoba oil to repair damaged skin, protect against hydration loss, and soften skin without the risk of clogging pores.
Purifying and antiseptic bergamot fruit oil has also been included in this scrub to naturally combat congestion, unclog pores, and balance oil levels.
Lastly, calming calendula, soothing lavender, and antibacterial rosemary have been infused to reduce redness, protect against puffiness, and aid acne-prone skin.
How to Use: After cleansing, wet your face with water. Avoid hot water, as this will dry out your skin. Opt for lukewarm water instead. Massage the scrub around your face in circular motions. Rise off with water and pat dry with a clean facial towel.
