When blackheads, excess oil, and enlarged congested pores have overstayed their welcome, give them the boot with the Acne B.O.P. Facial Serum! This serum is designed as a concentrated treatment for a very specific problem (problems that just happen to be the biggest culprits of acne breakouts and lowered self-esteem). In fact, this serum tackles “the big 3” problems so well, it’s named after them!

  • Blackheads: This serum helps detox & purify those bad boys!
  • Oil: This serum balances excessive oil production. When this is balanced and skin is exfoliated regularly, acne is stopped before it can start.
  • Pores: As in enlarged, congested pores. This serum helps wash out and clear up congestion so pores can heal and relax.

In a nutshell:

  • Tackles the major signs of congestion
  • Relieves overworked pores of blackheads and excess oil
  • Helps prevent acne breakouts
  • Balances oil production
  • Absorbs quickly into the skin
  • Formulated with clean and kind ingredients

 How to Use

  • Apply the serum after applying your mist (if you’re using one) or hydrator, and before your moisturizer. While moisturizers help lock serums into your skin, serums help lock mists into your skin! You don’t have to wait for the mist to fully absorb before applying your serum. But you should wait a few minutes between applying your serum and moisturizer.
  • Apply any time after you wash your face (hands, or other affected area).
  • During the winter, our skin needs extra help staying hydrated and protected from the elements. So, layer up your protection by using a mist, serum and moisturizer before heading out into the cold (or spending a lot of time in the dry indoor air!).

Key Ingredients

  • Aloe Vera: A super hydrator known for its abilities to balance and regenerate skin. It also contains shaman-like healing properties that aid in the calming and healing of acne and irritated/sensitive skin.

  • Cedarwood Oil: Distilled from cedarwood with steam, this natural extract is often underrated in the skin care world. Cedarwood oil is best known for it’s pore support and ability to help regulate sebum production. This is particularly good for those with naturally oily skin and prone to congestion. This only can also be used as a natural antiseptic; it can even protect from tetanus germs and fungal infections, making it a preferred ingredient from those who suffer from skin ailments like eczema.

  • Grape Seed Oil: There’s a good reason as to why this fruit oil had been used for centuries to address skin ailments! Grape seed oil is the perfect thickness for skin application, and as such, is commonly used as the base for many naturally-based products. Polyphenols also make this an excellent choice for treating acne. As added benefits, grape seed oils also contain healthy amounts of vitamin C, D, & E to brighten and smooth out your complexion.

  • Hazelnut Oil: The nut oil is a star in the skin care world because of it’s ability to deliver heaps of Vitamin E. Combined with the fatty acids in hazelnut oil, this one’s a keeper if your skin is in desperate need of some moisture and conditioning. Vitamins A & C can also be found in this oil, which makes it a great option for those looking to protect themselves from Free Radicals and signs of aging.

  • Lavender Oil: The lavender plant is known for its antibacterial properties making it beneficial in acne-fighting skin care products. It helps rid the skin of bacteria preventing breakouts and is a member of the mint family. Lavender extract is not as potent as the essential oil of the Lavender plant and is used more so for its aromatic ability to reduce stress, while Lavender Essential Oil will contain more acne-fighting benefits. The Essential Oils used in Batty’s Bath products are therapeutic grade, 100% vegan, and are free of any synthetic compounds.

  • Palmarosa Oil: This oil is known for its regenerative properties which can slow down the signs of ageing. It provides needed moisture to mature skin to help improve texture and minimize the appearance of fine lines.

  • Tea Tree Oil: This essential oil is native to Australia and is best known for the disinfecting properties in natural skin care products. Stopping acne-causing bacteria in its tracks, Tea Tree Essential Oil is an effective antibacterial ingredient. It also contains anti-inflammatory properties helping to sooth breakouts and other skin conditions like eczema and dermatitis, all while encouraging a speedy healing process for small wounds and breakouts.

  • Willow Bark Extract: This natural extract is one of nature’s many gifts. It’s a natural source of salicylic acid that is non-irritating, as opposed to its synthetic versions. Willow bark extract is also known for its antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and astringent properties making it a natural cleansing and calming agent that’s very beneficial for acne-prone skin. Flavonoids and other antioxidants also make this a beneficial contributor in the protection and rejuvenation of the skin.

I already use a moisturizer! Why add a serum?

I don’t believe in adding more products to your skincare routine than needed, so you might be wondering why I’ve added serums to my line!

First off, I use them all the time! Why? Because serums are liquid tonics that are packed with vitamins, anti-oxidants and ingredients that contain active properties that target specific concerns. If there’s something specific you want to work on, serums are an easy way to add some extra oomph to your routine!

Secondly, serums are formulated to penetrate deep into your skin so they can heal and target specific concerns. They are able to penetrate deeper than moisturizers and can help restore skin to a balanced state. Plus, they are non-comedogenic, so no need to worry about clogged pores or a greasy residue.

Although serums can be moisturizing, their main purpose is to add nutrients deep into your skin that a moisturizer isn’t able to reach and keep the hydration levels in your skin stable. Having said that, keep your moisturizer in your routine! Applying your moisturizer after you apply a serum, will lock the serum into your skin allowing the serum to do its best work without evaporating into the air.
