• Wet face with lukewarm water (avoid hot as it will dry out your skin, and cold will not allow your pores to open for deep cleaning)
• Squirt 1-2 pumps of the cleanser into your clean hands and massage into your damp face in a circular motion
• Rinse off the cleanser with water and pat dry
• Apply any booster products & moisturizer immediately following the cleanse for the optimal benefit of ingredients

• Lemon Extract: This fruit extract actually comes from the peel of a lemon and is known for its antibacterial properties. It keeps acne-causing bacteria at bay thanks to citric acid and Vitamin C. The citric acid is also recognized for its skin lightening and brightening effects. This helps smooth your complexion and reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation and acne scars.
  
  
• Licorice Extract: This extracted syrup from the root of a licorice plant is well known for its abilities to aid in the evening of skin tone and improve skin’s elasticity. Thanks to its high levels of antioxidants, it has also been proven to help in the healing process and inflammation of skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis. For those suffering from oily skin, Licorice Root can help to regulate the skin’s oil production.
  
  
• Orange Extract: This natural extract is extracted from the orange’s peel and provides antiseptic properties when used on the skin. It’s able to remove excess sebum and oils from the skin while killing bacteria in its wake. Thanks to natural citrus enzymes, orange essential oil also provide a non-abrasive exfoliation to restore and brighter complexion to dull and tired skin.
  
  
• Pineapple Extract: We can't get enough of this fruit extract! Pineapples are chalked full of Vitamin C. This vitamin contains impressive amounts of antioxidants and is known to aid in the brightening of skin (i.e. helping reduce the signs of aging) and protecting it from free radicals. Vitamin C is also a natural alternative to drugstore toners, by helping reduce dark spots and other sun damage. Pineapple extract also provides a non-abrasive exfoliation that is particularly beneficial for those who suffer from congestion thanks to fruit enzymes. These fruit enzymes have the ability to exfoliate inside the pores where we also shed dead skin cells that can cause plugs, blackheads, and breakouts.
  
  
• Sugar Cane Extract: Hearing 'sugar' and 'skincare' in the same sentence often brings up negative thoughts, but the truth is that unrefined extracts from this grass plant contain some really great benefits for the skin. Sugar cane extract is a natural source of AHA's that help exfoliate the skin by breaking up and removing dead skin to reveal a more radiant glow and allowing the skin to breathe. It's also a major source of glycolic acid, a natural source of moisture for dry skin.
  
  
• Sugar Maple: A natural source of sugar, the extract from maple trees provides the skin with AHA support that neutralizes free radicals and helps repair cell damage caused by outside stresses. AHAs also help slough off dead skin cells to reveal a more radiant glow and opening up clog pores.

Can I use this cleanser if I have rosacea?

We’ve mixed in some licorice root into our Pure Amore Gel Facial Cleanser for some redness relief and redness relief, not to mention to acne-fighting benefits of willow bark extract which provide this cleanser with some serious antibacterial superpowers, so rosacea-prone skin might see great results from this cleanser! However, some rosacea sufferers find that their skin doesn't play nice with lemon or pineapple extract.

If you've used any of our other products that have lemon or pineapple in them and your skin has given them the thumbs up, you should be ok with this cleanser. However, if you have used lemon or pineapple containing products and your skin didn't find them gentle enough, this cleanser might not be right for you.
